Green Woodworking
Green woodworking workshops can be delivered on a 1:1 basis or for small groups. Group size will depend on the setting and the age of the participants.
Starting with wood sourced locally to the mill where my workshop is based, I will take you through how to safely use the tools needed to make a tactile and useful item. Popular classes include making tent pegs and mallets. You will gain skills in tool use and how to take care of them.
The types of makes offered are making tent pegs, log mallets, wooden knives, mini mushrooms and stools.
Sessions start with a safety briefing and a look at the tools we will be using. Tools that may be used during the workshop are knives, bill hooks, bow saws, shave horse, draw knives, drills and sanders.
Workshop length varies with a minimum of one hour to a full day. These are available at my workshop at Via Gellia Mill, Bonsall or I can offer them in your setting. I have de;livered these workshops at festivals, community events, schools and for groups at hired venues such as holiday cottages. I can bring log stumps to make a cosy group feeling in any setting.
Prices vary depending on group size and project, please get in touch if you would like to discuss your ideas.
